Too often, we are so busy attending to the big picture of social change and helping others that we ignore caring for ourselves. Let’s watch out for each other and ourselves. Let’s keep the revolution healthy!
Following are workshops and groups designed to help you (and your organization) stay strong, healthy and empowered.
Workshops & Women’s Groups:
(1) Political Trauma: Anger, Fear, Anxiety to Connection, Self-Care, Resistance
Come together with like-minded folks to safely share your various reactions (i.e., anger, fear, anxiety, sadness, helplessness, renewed strength and unity, etc.) to the current social-political state of affairs in our country. Understand the psycho-physical impacts that stress, trauma and oppression fatigue have on our minds, bodies and emotions and on our personal relationships. Share and learn how to more effectively manage stress and anxiety. Learn 14 free concrete self-care strategies. Develop your own sustaining “Self-Care Plan for the Socially Conscious.” Saturday, 1/28/17, SOLD OUT. New Date Added: Sat., 3/18/17 9am-12:30pm. $25.00. No one turned away for inability to pay.
(2) Radical Self-Care for Community Organizers & Activists
Come together with like-minded community organizers, social justice workers, activists, and protesters to safely share the various reactions that folks are having to recent political events, police brutality/police state actions, and the anticipation of the next four years. Understand the psycho-physical impacts that stress, primary and secondary trauma, and oppression fatigue have on our minds, bodies, and emotions. Share and learn how to more effectively manage stress, fear, and anxiety. Learn concrete sustaining self-care strategies. Keep the revolution healthy!

(3) Political Stress and Compassion Fatigue: For Helping Professionals
Addressing Stress, Burn-out and Compassion Fatigue in these social-political times: This workshop is an opportunity for socially conscious mental health, medical and social service providers, educators, paraprofessionals, sexual and domestic violence advocates, volunteers and other related helpers to join together to create a safe and confidential space to: talk about the impact of the current political climate, assess our own burn-out, secondary trauma, and oppression and compassion fatigue potential; and learn new strategies to care for ourselves personally and professionally.
Saturday, 2/11/17 @ 1-430pm; New Date added: Friday, 3/24/17 1-430pm. $65. CEU forms available for 3 to 3.5 CEUs.
(4) LGBTQ+ Relationship Workshop: Strength Above Oppression-Balancing Our Needs
A relationship workshop designed for adults who identify as QUEER, LGBTQIAP2S (who are or are not currently in a relationship)..

(5) More Than Two Peas in a Pod: Creating Respectful Polyamory & Open Relationships
Is polyamory for you? Are you considering opening up your relationship? Learn about ethical polyamory, improving communication skills, navigating jealousy and developing healthy boundaries.

Each offered three times per year, starting early 2017
“Women’s General Issues Support Group” Weekly for 14 weeks; $50/session. Some sliding fee slots. Space is limited to 9 women/group.
“Sexual Abuse Healing & Support Expression Group for Women: $50/session. Some sliding fee slots. Space is limited to 9 women/group.
“Coming Out Group for Women” Weekly for 14 weeks; starting in March 2017. $50/session. Some sliding fee slots. Space is limited to 9 women/group.
