A virtual support group for progressive and radical LGBTQ+ adults. Share intentional space with like-minded kindreds. Discuss the personal toll of the trauma, chaos, inhumaneness, and instability of the current social-political climate. Share stories, resources, art, and ideas. Learn key strategies to fortify and sustain your resiliency. Explore how joy and glimmers can be essential sources of resistance. Increase connections and build community. Create a Resistance and Resiliency Action and Wellness Plan. Starts in July 2025. Meets for 8 weeks. Thursdays, 430-6p CST. Templates and resources are provided. FMI: Contact Irene.

- Join us in creating a soft-landing place to share our varying experiences and expand our joy.
- Lend and receive support about the unique ways that the current social-political issues impact LGBTQ+ people and our communities.
- Discuss how our intersecting identities related to gender, sexuality, race, disability, age, and economic resources are impacted.
- Share ways you incorporate joy and glimmers into your daily life.
- Assess your political trauma stress, burnout, and oppression fatigue.
- Build resiliency-based
strategies for sustained health and wellness. - Gain clarity about your role in The Resistance.
- Receive problem-solving coaching and guidance.
- Gain inspiration and insight about the role you have or seek in The Resistance.
- Learn strategies to deal with family, friends, co-workers, etc. who have differing perspectives and values than you do about what is happening in our country.
- Discuss options for emergency preparedness with yourself, community, family, and friends.
- The 6-Fs of Interaction: Understand when your coping strategies of FIGHT, FLIGHT, FREEZE, FADE, and FAWN override your ability to be grounded in FACE. Explore the costs and benefits of each.
- Identify a resistance-related goal and enlist the group’s support.
- Develop a concrete Resistance and Resiliency Action and Wellness Plan.
- Weekly themes and prompt questions.
- Receive a packet of resources and templates.
- The resiliency and burnout assessments will be provided.
Group size: Up to 9 people. | Confidential.
When: Starts in July 2025 | Thursdays, 430-6p CST | 8 weeks.
Fee: $60/session. Sliding fee. Out-of-pocket. Adjusted rate slots are available.
